I am currently a freshman at UMich studying business, performing arts management & entrepreneurship, and computer science.
I DJ, produce rap/hip-hop beats, and collaborate with vocalists to make songs. I DJ and release music under the alias Namix. As a freshman, I'm looking to get as much exposure to the local music scene as possible, and I'm looking to connect with other musicians in the area in terms of both DJing and producing.
I release all of my music on Soundcloud, Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, and Google Play. Hit me up on any of my social media to let me know what you think!
I am a beat maker and student at the University of Michigan. I have been producing and composing music since high school. I love listening to all different types of music and love pushing the boundary.
Musical Influences: Shlohmo, Flying Lotus, Medasin
Bring a musical instrument into an elementary school classroom. Drop 'Mr. Brightside' at 12:30 on a Friday night at Rick's. The right music in the right moment is perhaps the most human feeling there is. I play guitar, produce, and DJ with the hopes of providing that experience for someone else.
My mission is to uplift others with music.
Musical Influence: Mr. Carmack, NoMBe, Tom Misch, Bearcubs, Mura Masa, Bon Iver
My name is Camryn Jackson. I was born and raised in Lansing, MI but recently moved to Detroit, MI after graduating college at the University of Michigan on a wrestling scholarship. I’ve always wanted to rap starting as a child influenced by ‘Lil Bow Wow’ but decided to produce because I couldn’t afford recording equipment. When I got to college I began recording in one of the schools facilities called the v-room with a kid in the business school who engineered my music named Brandon Canniff. My junior year I took a rent check and invested it into my recording equipment. I learned how to engineer on my own and a class I took; before I knew it I had two mixtapes behind me. Now I am here working on my 4th mixtape with my remix to “Facts” being the first single off of it.

I am emotional, raw, real. My passion lies in writing songs that express my soul while still connecting to the stories of listeners everywhere. Listen to my original songs and you'll learn more about me than I could ever write here in this bio.
My name is Lucas Mata, I make beats and play drums. I grew up playing classical piano from age 3 to 17. In high school I discovered a liking for Hip Hop by accident, which introduced me to artists like J Dilla, Flying Lotus and Knxwledge, as well as genres like jazz, fusion, funk, prog and bossa nova. I also picked up drums and guitar along the way. I mainly work with sample based beats, and priding myself on full, organic drums. I have also been doing work with live instrumentation, and am always looking to collaborate with artist. Aside from production, I also play in a jazz-funk band that's looking to expand to a live hip hop band.
Musical Influences: J Dilla, Lonnie Liston Smith, Marcos Valle, Madlib
“Today I shaved my head… my biggest worry in fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Cancer. I anticipated this day as the hardest day in my survival journey, but I can't stop smiling because today was actually a wonderful day. I gained my "I don't give a f*ck” today. I feel on my worst day, I can be confident in myself because I am confident without my favorite, defining feature. I can do anything. I am not afraid of who I am or what the world may think of me. I am a bad ass. I am 100x stronger today than I was yesterday and tomorrow I will wake up 100x stronger again.” -mAraLee
That day inspired mAraLee to transition from working in the music industry supporting others’ careers to living her dream on stage. She stopped playing covers and decided to share her mind and music with the world. In just her first year of writing and performing, mAraLee played all original tunes at The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, The Loft in East Lansing, The Elm Room in Birmingham, on Ann Arbor’s 107.1 FM Radio, various other venues and spent 6 months in Israel writing music.
Musical Influences: Banks, Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse, Allen Ston
My name is Darin, and I'm currently a junior trying to get through college. I'm a future powerlifting-marine-biologist who happens to make rap music and slam poetry. I don't think I invest too much in rap music, but people try to push me to pursue it more. I'm mainly influenced by Christian roots and previous experiences with mental health, and hope to help those that are going through the same things. Or sometimes I just write whatever I want. Currently I might want to make another mixtape by the end of next semester, but also to continue in writing more slam poetry. Right now I'm looking for someone to help me record and produce my music, as I have none of those easily accessible.
Musical Influences: J. Cole, Logic, NF, Mac Miller, Pryde, Kendrick Lamar, Wale
My goal is to become a doctor and a rapper and i want to be the first to do it well! My style of music is very lyrical based and i like to come up with extreme metaphors that make the listeners want to come back for more! you might also know me from the time Coach Harbaugh retweeted my tweet. That tweet since featured on ESPN.
I am a Junior at the University Michigan in Performing Arts Technology. I love music, and I have been producing as a hobby for over six years. Right now I am trying to put together a collection minimal beats that I can turn into a mix-tape. I am looking for artists to collaborate with and a way to promote and potentially perform my music.
I'm an 19 year old rapper from Seoul that loves making music. Now I live in Ann Arbor. My side hobby is being an engineering student. I have a versatile rapping style but I enjoy jazz-hop. I also like to write songs. My singing voice isn't as beautiful as I'd like it to be, but that's okay because I still love myself. I will also be in a kick-ass neo soul hip-hop funk band next year with a transferring friend. Just remember my name, you'll be hearing it a lot more often in the upcoming years.
We are an Ann Arbor based 4-piece band (Michael, Daniel, Theo, & Kevin) that plays a high-octane style of punky rock at live shows, retaining that edge in the studio while also exploring different styles. Our first project, a 5-track EP called "Peaches", was released on 3/31/16. Currently recording another 4-track EP to be completed soon; expecting to record a full-length album in the future. Big fans of pups. Cats, too. But Daniel is allergic.
